What is a Duplicate MEPCO Bill?
A duplicate MEPCO bill is an exact copy of your current or most recent electricity bill. It contains all the same information as the original paper bill, including your consumer details, meter readings, units consumed, charges breakdown, total payable amount, and due date.
The official PITC portal provides duplicate bills free of charge, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The bill displayed online is identical to the one delivered to your address.
Why You Might Need a Duplicate Bill
- Lost or damaged original bill: If your paper bill was lost, damaged by rain, or discarded accidentally.
- Bill not delivered: Paper bills sometimes fail to reach consumers due to postal or delivery issues.
- Record keeping: You may want a digital copy for your personal or business records.
- Payment verification: To verify the exact amount and due date before making a payment.
- Dispute resolution: To have a copy of your bill when filing a complaint or disputing charges.
