Check Your MEPCO Bill in 5 Steps
The official MEPCO bill-checking service is provided by PITC and is completely free. You do not need to create an account, register, or provide any personal information beyond your reference number or customer ID.
Locate Your Reference Number
Find your 14-digit reference number on any previous MEPCO paper bill. It is printed in the "Consumer Detail" section at the top of the bill. Alternatively, you can use your 10-digit customer ID.
Open the Official Bill Portal
Click the "Check MEPCO Bill" button below to open the official PITC (Power Information Technology Company) bill-checking portal. The service is available 24/7 and is free to use.
Enter Your Details
On the official portal, you will see an input field. Enter your 14-digit reference number or select the customer ID option and enter your 10-digit customer ID. Then click the "Submit" or "Search" button.
View Your Bill
Your latest MEPCO bill will be displayed on the screen. You can view the billing month, units consumed, charges, taxes, total amount, and due date.
Download or Print
To save your bill, use the download/print option on the portal. You can save it as a PDF or print a physical copy directly from your browser. This serves as a valid duplicate bill.

What You Need Before Checking
Before you check your MEPCO bill online, make sure you have one of the following:
- 14-digit Reference Number — This is the most commonly used identifier. It is printed on every MEPCO bill and remains the same across all billing cycles. Learn where to find it →
- 10-digit Customer ID — An alternative identifier that some consumers may find easier to use. It is also printed on your bill.
⚠️ Important
Be cautious of websites that ask for your CNIC number, mobile number, or other personal information to check your MEPCO bill. The official PITC portal only requires your reference number or customer ID.
What Information Will You See?
Once you enter your reference number on the official portal, you will be able to see:
- Consumer name and address
- Billing month and issue date
- Previous and current meter readings
- Units consumed during the billing period
- Electricity charges and tariff details
- Taxes, fuel price adjustments, and other charges
- Total amount payable
- Due date and last date for payment without surcharge
- Arrears (if any) from previous months
For a detailed explanation of each field, see our Bill Reading Guide.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues while checking your bill online:
- Bill not found: Double-check your reference number. Ensure it is exactly 14 digits with no spaces or extra characters.
- Portal not loading: The PITC portal may experience high traffic during bill due dates. Try again after a few minutes.
- New connection: If you recently got a new MEPCO connection, your first bill may take one billing cycle to appear online.
- Still having issues: Contact the MEPCO helpline or visit your local MEPCO office. See our complaint guide.
